How to Start a Blogging Empire

Posted by Data Recovery at 11:09 AM 0 comments
Are you wondering how to start a blogging empire? Building up your blogging business can be extremely lucrative. And though it is possible to have your entire business be based off of one blog, it isn’t necessarily realistic. A better strategy is to start several blogs in various niche topics and let them run on autopilot once they’re set up.
How many blogs do you need?
You may be wondering how many blogs you need to start a blogging empire. There’s no easy way to answer this because it all depends on your statistics. Some people have just a handful of blogs and manage to make a good amount of money. Others have twenty blogs or more.
Your first blogs may not make that much money. As you get better at creating them your earnings will increase. Or, you could start making money right away. Other factors include the subject you chose, your keywords, and if your blog is optimized for the search engines.
How do you get started?
The basic business model for how to create a blogging empire is as follows:
• Start the blog. This includes finding a subject, researching keywords, reserving the domain, setting up the hosting, and installing your blog platform. Wordpress is the most popular and it’s also free.
• Write the posts. Once everything is set up - start writing! Use the keywords that you found (one per post). This is so that the search engines will find your blog. Write ten posts in advance and have 2-3 posts published per week. Put them in the system in advance.
• Make money. Set the blog up to make money. Ways to make money include Adsense, affiliate programs, collecting donations, and selling your own product.
• Promote the blog. You’ll also need to start promoting. Techniques include social bookmarking, pay per click, and article marketing.
• Repeat. This one is very important. You’ll need to repeat this process several times in order to really make a profit.
Write Quality Content
Don’t fall into the trap of writing sloppy content because you want to start another blog. Make sure you write good articles that people will want to read. This will put visitors in the mood to stick around and come back to your blog which will increase your profits.
Remember that if you want to know how to start a blogging empire you’ll need to follow the steps listed above. Once you have a few blogs up you should start making money.

Becoming a Niche Blogger

Posted by Data Recovery at 10:25 AM 0 comments
Do you want to learn all about becoming a niche blogger? Yesterday we learned what a niche blog actually is. In simple terms, it is a blog that targets a specific aspect of a certain market. A niche blogger is someone who creates these blogs to share information with others and to help them make money.
For example, weight loss for women would be a niche topic under the larger topic of weight loss or even health if you want to go broader than that. But if you’ve decided that you want to go about becomming a niche blogger, there are a few stesps you can take that will get you started.
Come up with your topic. Your very first step is to come up with the niche that you would like your blog to be. It can be about anything, as long as you are sure you can do the writing and that it seems like a profitable subject.
Start the blog. The next thing you’ll need to do to become a niche blogger is to get the blog started. Decide if you want to use a free blog site or get your own domain. You’ll also need to choose your domain name. Once you do that, all you need to do is either start posting (if it’s a free site) or install wardpress and then start posting.
Set it up to make money. You’ll want to set the blog up and write your first few posts before you set it up to make money. This is a good way to do it because you want to develop a few loyal readers and get listed in the search engines before you put your money makers on there.
Get traffic. Once your money making strategy is in place and you have a few posts written, you can start to get traffic. Popular strategies include article marketing, using social networking strategies, and joining directories.

How to Blog for Cash

Creating a blog for cash is a good way to make extra money. And, it’s much easier than you think to do. Sure, there are some tricks of the trade that you need to learn before you can be successful. The good news is that these techniques are easy to learn and can even be practiced on a free blog, though we don’t recomend doing that.
Why not use a free blog?
On the surface, learning the way to blog for cash by using a free site such as Blogger seems like the way to go. However, keep in mind that if you want to gain credibility as a blogger, using free services is not the way to do it. To build a brand and a complete business, it is better to reserve the domain, get hosting, and install wordpress.
Make the investment from the beginning and you will save yourself a lot of hassle. And trust me, there will be pleny of it if you try to move the posts from your free blog over to a new domain. There’s no reason why domain reservation should cost you any more than $9 for the year. And, you can easily find good hosting for less than $5 per month. In fact, Hostgator at the moment is offering hosting for as little as $4.95 for the month.
The blog is set up - now how do I make money?
Once you set the blog up and start writing posts, you’re probably wondering how it will start making money. Well, there are a variety of ways. The first thing most people do when they start a blog is to set up Google Adsense. This can make you a good amount of money. It’s worth looking into, but it’s not always the best way. There are also other advertising programs that are similar. For example, Yahoo as a pay per click program as well.
Another option that is good, if not better, than Adsense is affiliate marketing. This is where you promote products that you find on networks like Clickbank and Commission Junction. When someone clicks on the affiliate link from your blog and makes a purchase, you make a sale. Some programs give you pretty high commissions. For example, you may find an ebook on Clickbank that sells to the customer for around $20. If the commission is set at 50% (and it is sometimes set even higher) you’ll make at least $10 on that sale.
Just Get Started!
If you want to blog for cash all you need to do is get started! Take the plunge and start your first blog. Then, make posts and find advertising programs or affiliate products to promote. Once you start getting traffic to the site, you may start to make those commissions and watch the money roll in.

Tips on Finding a Niche

By now, you’ve heard us talking about how finding a niche is important to your blogging process. After all, that’s what niche blogging is all about. But, perhaps you need a little extra instruction. Well, there is a certain trick to identifying a good niche but this article will help you demystify the process.
What is a niche?
So, what is a niche anyway? Simply put, a niche is a defined subject within a larger subject. For example, “Health and Fitness” is too broad of a category for our purposes. You will need to find a sub category or even better, a category within that to find a decent niche. For example, a sub category in the “health and fitness” topic would be “weight loss”. Even more concentrated than that is “weight loss for women”.
Find the Larger Categories
So in order to find a niche, you need to first identify the larger categories. Health and Fitness is one good example but there are more. Home and Garden is another. Once you identify what the broader categories are, you can at least decide if that’s an area you want to focus on.
Narrow it Down
Once you identify the larger categories, your next step is to narrow things down a little more. Think about the broad category that you want to focus on. Then, f ind sub categories and at least category after that. This will be your niche. The more you can narrow it down, the better. Just don’t narrow it down too much or you won’t get the traffic.
Create Your Blog
Once you find your niche, it’s time to start doing some niche blogging. Start a blog about the subject you chose, put posts on it, and find ways to bring in money such as with Adsense and affiliate programs. The process of finding a niche is the essence of what niche blogging is all about.

Tips on Recipe Blogging

Posted by Data Recovery at 10:23 AM 0 comments
Are you thinking of getting into recipe blogging? If so, there are a few things to keep in mind in order to make your blog a success. Running a recipe blog can be fun - but keep in mind that you’ll still want to make it successful and use the standard techniques of blogging. But, keep these extra tips in mind as you start your recipe blog.Recipe copyrights. According to US copyright law, lists of ingredients are not copyrighted - only the instructions and any descriptions before the recipe are. Though I advocate making your articles as original as possible, you won’t get into trouble with copyright law for using the ingredients in another recipe and making your instructions 100% unique.
Spice up the recipes. If you do decide to use the ingredient list in another recipe for your recipe blogging, you might want try to find a way to give the ingredients a twist to make them unique. For example, if the recipe calls for 1 c. of orange juice, you can write “1 c. fresh squeezed orange juice” in your recipe. The more unique the recipe looks, the better it will be for your blog’s popularity.
Make it long enough. Recipes simply aren’t usually long enough to get seen by the search engines. To avoid this problem, make sure each recipe has it’s own post and that you make the recipe description a little longer. Shoot for at least 25o word posts, but 300 words is even better.
Give credit. If you decided to borrow the recipe from someone, such as a family member or if you took it out of a cookbook, the nice thing to do is give the person credit - even if you adapted it. You can say something like, “I adapted this recipe from an old Italian cookbook that my mother has on her book shelf.” It gives you more credibility, makes the recipe blog fun to read, and gives credit where it’s due.
Use these tips to help you with your recipe blogging and to make it the best it could be!

8 Essential Blogging Tips for Success

Posted by Data Recovery at 10:22 AM 0 comments
There are some essential blogging tips that you need to know in order to take your blogging to the next level. In fact, you need to know these things not only to be successful, but even to make a few extra dollars or to create a blog that your readers will enjoy.
1. Make the posts enjoyable. It doesn’t take that much to create posts that are enjoyable for the reader. For the most part, they need to include fun and/or useful content that people will find valuable. The posts also should be well written and by that I mean, complete sentences and punctuation.
2. Write just like you speak. Another key blogging tip for creating great content is to write exactly the same way as you speak. Just be casual. As far as writing goes, blog posts are relatively informal. Now, I’m not talking text message informal - you still need those complete sentences (and complete words!)
3. Don’t clutter up the sidebar. One of my biggest pet peeves when visiting a blog is to see that the sidebar is messy and filled with lots of things. It’s overwhelming and messy. Just choose the essentials to put in your sidebar and that’s it!
4. Don’t overwhelm the reader with ads. Yes, you can put up to three ad units on a page for Google Adsense. But that doesn’t mean that you should. I had only one ad unit up on one of my blogs and the earnings were pretty nice!
5. Pay attention to your readers. When a reader comments on your blog, reply back. It makes them feel great that you listened to what they had to say and they’ll be likely to return.
6. Check your stats. If you haven’t done so already, check your stats! Use a tool like Statcounter to see where your readers came from, how much traffic you’re getting, and the keywords people used to find your blog.
7. Are you on track? Once you have access to your stats, figure out if you are on track. For instance, if hardly any people come to your blog from the search engines, you may want to rethink your SEO strategy.
8. Post a few times a week. One of the biggest mistakes you could make is not posting to your blog for months at a time. Wordpress has a queue feature that lets you upload posts in advance so they can publish on a later date. I love this feature!
